Radon

More than 25,000 people are estimated to die every year, in North America alone, from Radon Gas induced lung cancer. Radon gas occurs with the breakdown (decay) of uranium.

Radon is naturally occurring radioactive gas that is colourless, odourless and tasteless. It is formed by the breakdown of uranium, a natural radioactive material found in soil, rock and groundwater. Radon gas can accumulate in all types of buildings, especially in confined areas such as basements, attics and unventilated offices or other room locations. Radon can reach such high levels that it poses a severe risk to the health of everyone (you, your employees and/or your family) that utilizes the location.

Contact Meltech Thermal Imaging Inc. (C-NRPP Certified in Radon Measurement and Mitigation, CARST Member) to learn more about the potential health risks associated with Radon. Determine your risk associated with your personal setting and environment, and discuss various short-term and long-term methods of testing available.
